| The State Council sets up the General Administration of China Customs to implement the unified management of customs throughout the country.The central government sets up customs at port where opening to the outside world and business centralization. The principle of establishing customs is not restricted by administrative division. The customs exercises authority independently in accordance with the law, is responsible to General Administration of China Customs. | Customs’emblem of the People's Republic of China consists of golden yellow key and merchandise spirit cane alternately. The merchandised spirit with two snakes' tangling comes from the ancient Greek mythology. It is held by merchandised spirit Hermes and regarded as the symbols of commerce and international trade by common people. The golden key has the meaning that the customs administers the gate of national economic which signifies the customs guarding the country border. |
